Task

We needed to create an application that would facilitate familiarization with the collection of hunting trophies and provide the museum staff with opportunities to expand the exhibition space and information about the exhibits.

Solution

When launched, the application synchronizes with the Admin Panel and processes the video image from the camera in real-time, recognizes markers and user actions, and also adds programmed AR elements (markers and brief information about exhibits) to the final image.

Functionality

The mobile app for iPhone and iPad detects AR markers from any viewing angle, even in low light conditions. An administration panel has also been developed, which allows you to create/delete, add and change exhibits and information about them, combine exhibits into groups, add markers to photos to display AR objects when pointing the device camera.

Result

To create the project, we used the basic design principles to make the interface straightforward, and museum guests were impressed by their acquaintance with our product. In addition, the application has high parameters for the markers' recognition. It was necessary because of the conditions of the exhibits' arrangement and the content specifics (recognizing a single antelope from five in a row is still a challenge!).
